sift flour, baking powder, soda and cocoa powder together
in a bowl beat butter and sugar
add curd, essence and coffee mix
beat again
add milk and dry mixture alternatively
mix well and make a smooth batter
pour the batter into a greased tin and sprinkle the almonds on the top
tap down the tin and place in the preheated oven
bake at 180c for 30 minutes
remove from oven and let it cool on wire rack
cut the cake and serve with a cup of tea or cofee
